At 180 million light years away, spiral galaxy NGC 6962 dominates this field of galaxies.

NGC 5713 (right) is a peculiar, asymmetric galaxy, interacting with NGC 5719 (left) in the constellation Virgo.

A trio of interacting galaxies. NGC 5560, which is stretched out from interacting with the large galaxy NGC 5566 (yellow). NGC 5569 is the small, blue galaxy below NGC 5566.

Lying about 500 million light-years away in the constellation of Sculptor, the cartwheel shape of this galaxy is the result of a violent galactic collision.

NGC7424 is a large barred spiral galaxy with well defined arms, similar to the Milky Way. It is around 38 million light years away.

210 million light years away, a barred spiral galaxy NGC 7284 is colliding with a lenticular galaxy NGC 7285, throwing off massive tidal tails.

Rarely photographed, the barred spiral galaxy IC5092 lies 150 million light years away in the southern sky. Its outer arms seem to form a ring around the inner barred structure.

The southern galaxy NGC 7020 presents an unusual morphology: it includes a very regular outer ring which is completely detached and which envelops an inner ring/lens zone with a hexagon surrounding an X shape.

A galactic merger is happening 165 million light years away between the spiral galaxies NGC 6769, 6770, 6771.

The barred grand spiral galaxy NGC 5921 lies 65 million light years away. It was discovered by William Herschel on 1 May 1786. There are several background galaxies present in the image.

While looking through the data captured of NGC 5921, I discovered a very dim object slowly moving through the field of view. The object has been identified as main belt asteroid 2000 AJ129, magnitude 15.

The large and bright Bubble Galaxy, or NGC 3521, is located in the Leo constellation, which is quite north in the sky for my location. Upon seeing a fantastic test exposure, I could not leave this galaxy alone.

50 million light years away, NGC 1532 is slowly devouring one of its companion dwarf galaxies, NGC 1531. Large tidal tails from NGC 1532 are thrown outwards as the two galaxies interact. A number of other dwarf companion galaxies are also visible in the frame.

NGC 300 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Sculptor. It is one of the closest galaxies to the Local Group at 6 million light years distance.

IC 5332 is a very faint spiral galaxy 39 million light years away. It is a challenging target in light polluted skies. While processing the image I noticed several small galaxies around and in the background of its spiral arms. I'm interested in revisiting this target again with a longer focal length to see what detail I can tease from these.
